i like brett favre a lot, but if he is really doing this then I lose a ton of respect for the man......he wanted to play football and now he is, being sour about rogers playing good is going to get you nowhere.

Detroit would need more than that to have a chance.

Favre denied the whole thing and so did Detroit's coaches. Moreover, the story itself makes absolutely no sense.

end result is that playbooks are able to be found. You can come up with a WCO playbook quickly and easily. The problem, of course, is that it doesn't give you tendency or their play usage, and knowing the name of a play isn't useful game study. Tape is still overwhelmingly the way to study and prepare.

As much as players change teams this is a moot point. Do we have Seattle's playbook because Hackett played there last year? How about Miami's since we have McCown? Would either of them matter if we played either team next week?

it's taken 25 years for the WCO to evolve in some forms, and in many it's watered down. But sure, I could get you a copy of the WCO, have one. It's the same one we used in the late 90s, it's the same one they use now. Same one Shanahan uses.

It's not top secret. You can't magically stop it by knowing how they draw their plays. There's no Waterboy-esque trick play in there or some magical code that gives away their secrets. You still have to line up and play, you still have to know their personnel, their tendencies, and in doing that you'll be familiar with their offense and what they call out of that book.
