I believe this is the earliest he could begin practicing while on PUP. He's now got three weeks to be activated.

still a good sign he's going to be able to go out there, but obviously no guarantees.

We could use him returning punts.

Breaking some long PRs would be great but my main concern is ball security.

I don't know a thing about Hogan as PR but so far, though AE has not had much success in gaining us field position he has not cost us the possession by putting it on the ground (or has he, and I am forgetting?). I admit I hold my breath every time he's back there, but so far so good at the most important part of that job.

Hogan, he's been around the team and should have digested enough of the theory of his role not to be totally lost once he gets out there. I'm hoping he can help us some down the line this year, it would be a nice shot in the arm.

I just hope he can help in the secondary God knows we need the help there.

as to the punt returning, every time he catches the ball it seems 5 defenders are there looking at him like he is the main menu on a dinner buffet.

The most important part of the punt return is the change of possession. AE has done a decent job of that this year. Bobbled a couple in the first couple of weeks. But he looks comfortable out there now.

To DBag's point. AE had one returnable punt this past sunday. As soon as he caught it, he had three guys there ready to pummel him. Rivera said it best...we have to block better if we expect him to make things happen with the ball.

I know nothing about him. Wasn't there speculation that he could come in and start right away? Or was that just because we had Munnerlyn out there.
