Stan Olson on FNZ, say's he doesn't think the Panthers will pay the bonus and that they are working hard on convincing him to step away from the game for his own good. Also mentioned MLB and OT as possible targets at #14, or maybe a Safety. said the buzz on Reggie Nelson was he wasn't good enough to be considered at the #14.

There is not going to be good value at #14 for MLB or OT, IMHO. Unless something wierd happens like Joe Thomas dropping that far then I do not see it. Levi Brown might be there but he has plenty of question marks.

I would really like to get Laron Landry. I would be willing to move up to get him if it did not cost too much.

PELLMAN STEPS DOWN

According to Ken Murray of the Baltimore Sun, Dr. Elliot Pellman has stepped down as the director of the NFL's concussion committee.

NFL spokesman Greg Aiello told the Sun that Pellman asked to be relieved of his duties. However, Pellman will continue to serve on the committee.

It's a significant step in the right direction for the NFL, which needs to confront the concussion problem in a meaningful way. Dr. Ira Casson, a neurologist from Nassau, N.Y., and Dr. David Viano, a biomechanical engineer from Wayne State University, will assume leadership of the committee.

Pellman has been criticized in the past for biographical inaccuracies, for subtle manipulation of studies, and for not possessing the basic skills and abilities for the position that he held. He went to medical school in Guadalajara, Mexico.

Good news. According to PFT, teams have been complaining he has a stick in the mud attitude. Maybe someone will replace him who wants to find things out that will be helpful.
