I laffed.........but seriously, if Fox and company suck again next year, and Cowher actually does leave the Steelers now to gather himself and take some time for himself and family, I'd imagine there will be a big push from Panthers fans since he's already at 'home' in Carolina......

he had the best job in football, IMO. To leave, he'd either have to believe that the Steelers are in really bad shape or he just doesn't want to coach for a while (or at all, which I'd believe will change). I certainly don't think he'd run off to
Already whispers of Dom Capers in there, oddly. I guess the idea is that with Saban possibly out, Capers could add Mularkey back in the mix if he wanted, and he'd be able to keep Lebeau.
I'd promote Grimm, honestly. It's obvious that he's highly regarded, he's part of the system, and he's going to be a good head coach somewhere.

Yeah, the guy has to be exhausted. The Steelers have a Super Bowl contender for 2007, assuming Roethlisberger keeps rounding back into form.
Rooney wants to stay in house, so it will be Grimm or Whisenhunt.
