Is getting out of control.

[POINTLESS RANT]
Those 4 idiots, the sports reporters were just slobbin Grossmans knob.

Something to the tune of "Isn't sports just great? This summer, everyone was on Lovie Smith for having Grossman as his QB. Now Grossman is the best PLAYER in the LEAGUE"

Then Lupica adds in: "Its a myth that the Dallas Cowboys are America's Team (agreed), but I think these Chicago Bears have many America's Team qualities."

BLAH FUCKING BLAH.

I still think rex is the weak link and he will come unglued (or get hurt) at some crucial point

What's unimaginable to me is the 16-0 talk and the comparisons to the '85 Bears. Chicago fans and pundits need to get over the fact that Chi-town will NEVER relive that time. Walter Payton is long gone (RIP), the punky QB is feable, the 46 defense has it's stamp in almost every teams playbook.

The 2006 Bears are the '06 Bears. There is no Payton-like presence, Grossman is not the game manager McMahon was and the defense is built on speed more than scheme. Plus they play the hapless Phins in week 9 and not a Dan Marino led contender in week 11. Then they have a three game stretch @ the Patriots, Vikes and @ Rams...two of which could easily be losses.

NO COMPARISON!

I agree that the 16-0 talk is very premature, but they've been the best team to date. That won't buy them much in January, but its true now. They are spanking just about everyone they play, and that's not a fluke in the NFL.

looks like that crucial time has come for "Rexie"

Lupica

BLAH FUCKING BLAH.

Lupica = lack of credibility!

That little turd will say anything as long as it will ruffle peoples feathers. He's made a career of it, him at Whitlock should be married...although Whitlock will sometimes delve into rational thought.

Grossman obviously isn't the best player in the league. He isn't even one of the top five players on his own team. But the Bears are certainly the best team in league, so if everybody wants to stir the hype pot, that's fine by me.

This has to be a joke. The Bears suck. Their offense is set up to blow out sub par teams, but they won't do anything against a good team. Let them play someone before they even get mentioned as a top 5 team. They'll get a rude awakening again this year in the playoffs when they get blown out at home and they will be cussing Rexie again and saying how Moose sucks and can't catch.

If Chicago could run the ball it would be one thing, let the D win the game and just run the clock. However, they cant. And if Rex looked that bad against Arizona, he's likely to end up in a room next to Simms when he faces the Panthers.
