not sure why you include weinke in that list. he was a second-day pick and started because jeff lewis was a big mistake.
weinke won the heisman, too. he looked great all year at FSU -- it's not just good editing for a youtube clip.
and, i must say, as a rookie with the panthers he accounted for 3,000 yards and 17 TDs. second most passes attempted, passes completed and yards gained by a rookie QB in NFL history (right behind peyton manning). also as a rookie, he led the league in rushing TDs for a QB. not bad for a fourth-round pick. i still give him credit for the team-record 423-yard game and teh comeback against detroit.

Weinke was just an average guy. Honestly, by the time he played here again he was aged.
Biakabutuka had burst there. The injury situation just took a lot out of him.
But yeah, these were good college kids that didn't work out as pros to the level that hype suggested. That happens.
