... got that sick feeling instead of total excitement about the game. i'm usually getting so up by this time, but i'm just afraid to see which team shows up tomorrow. its more like a feeling of dread, or peeking at a terrible auto accident or something, but not excitement.

Nah. I expect we've worked on some things.
Regardless, it should be a tough game.

FWIW, I'm a native of that land. Born in a country town east of Buffalo, grew up a Bills fan (and a 9ers fan, so people can save the time and bitch at me once about both). The first game I went to? Panthers/Bills preseason 1996.
There's no mixed feeling here, I want us to kick the shit out of Buffalo. But they've done some things I liked, even if not all of them have worked out perfectly (was a strong supporter of the Mularkey and Clements hires, and liked JP Losman).

I figure as long as we don't fuck up much, and we don't let Losman get deep to Evans, we're allright.

Losman has done okay since taking back over. He won't be as easy as Bollinger, but I doubt he'll beat us all by himself either.

I'm much more concerned about our problems, like the crappy running game, instead of their strengths. We should be able to run the ball better tomorrow. Not drastically better, imo, but we oughta crack 120+ yards on the ground.

I'm always skeered at 1:00 kick off -- about 1:15 when they settle in, so do I. Let's hope we are "settled" and the Panthers have their "A" game going at 1:15 . . . tomorrow is crucial game to the rest of this season, don't you think? Opinions? What happens to the rest of our season if we don't prevail tomorrow?

nothing. so long as we continue to own tampa, split with new orleans which has been on the skids, and at least split with vicki and the falcons...that might be the rub. i kinda expect that to be a shootout. that defense has looked awful for most of the season. that would just leave the dallas game. if the bad panthers play the rest of the season, we may scrounge up three wins and be in at 10-6. running the table is not out of the question either, i think. all the remaining games could be won.

I was apprehensive before the Bears game, but that was because Chicago is a fine team. We outmatch Buffalo in several areas. If the A team does show up, we should rip them a new one.

Granted, it's not an easy place to play. We saw what they did to KC a few weeks ago, so they are certainly capable of winning at home.

yes. I worry about fox coached team's streakiness.

Also, we need this. We need 3 more wins, and, on paper, this is the easiest of the six.

This is a game I might ordinarily be confident of except for the fact that we never know WHICH Panthers will show up. If the good ones show up (on both sides of the ball) I don't think there's much doubt we win and that's NOT downing the Bills, it's just our "good guys" are damn good. I just wish we could figure out WHY we are streaky and fix it.

GO PANTHERS

i can't figure out why we don't seem 'pumped' and jacked up. looking at atlanta, those fuckers are frikking crazy for the game, our players just seem ho-hum about it.
