I appreciate all she does on those committees and all the networking bridges built as a result, but we have serious problems on the homefront -- not just the recent conference movement which has been an issue since 1998! We HAVE to raise scholarship dollars AND pay our coaches -- heads and assistants -- enough money to keep them or fire them and replace them with an upgrade. No matter the end result, we need dollars to operate and we just don't have them. She's our best fundraiser. She needs to be in our community asking for more.
If she spent her ridiculaous 60-70 hour work-week working solely for the 49ers she might not be as popular outside of Charlotte -- heck, she might even get bored. But, I think we'd be in much better shape. She has made herself attractive to many leadership groups and boards. I think she's a GREAT person, but I want more for my alma mater and more starts with her in THIS community.
