NFL TO IMPOSE LOCAL TV BLACKOUT FOR SAINTS SEASON OPENER ON SUNDAY

A local television blackout will be imposed by the National Football League for the New Orleans Saints season opener vs. the Seattle Seahawks at the Superdome on Sunday, Sept. 12. As of noon today, 4,400 tickets remained, and under League rules the game will be blacked out in the local television market.
The Saints organization expresses hope that its 30-game sellout streak of the Superdome for regular season and playoff home games will remain in place. Accordingly, tickets for Sunday's game will remain on sale through the noon kickoff.
The Saints have eight regular season home games in 2004. Tickets are on sale now at the Saints Ticket Office in Metairie (504-731-1700 or toll free 877-666-1700), the Superdome ticket office, through Ticketmaster (800-877-0898), through the Saints' web site at www.NewOrleansSaints.com and the Ticketmaster web site at www.ticketmaster.com. Also, fans across the Gulf South can purchase tickets locally by calling the Saints' offices in Baton Rouge (225-927-8626), Mississippi Gulf Coast (228-863-9555), Mobile (251-479-2327) and Jackson (601-362-2294).
