Is there a differance in their contracts regarding what is garunteed? If so is it by choice or rule?

I think they get somewhere between 25 and 50K to come in and try out and if they make the squad they can get more.

No. No salaries are guaranteed, only money that's already been paid is guaranteed (bonuses, obviously).
But you asked about how much was guaranteed, and literally just the chump change they give you so you can afford to live in the area until you're cut.

yeah, you'd damn well think so. Even walk-ons get the last couple years paid.
