Rivera and Hurney deserve to be fired, but that doesn't come without risk. You could end up hiring a crazy person who trades away your good young players just to "instill a culture" or whatever. In fact, that's probably more likely than finding the next great young minds.

The offense isn't far off. We have multiple guys who can create explosive plays, and that's great. The bigger issue over that run of Divisional futility has been defensive breakdowns, and that's supposed to be Rivera's specialty. Maybe you hire a different defensive minded HC who more or less wants to keep the offense intact.
As for GM, I'd settle for one who just isn't going to smash the machine. Some of the decision making by newer GMs worries me.

That's crossed my mind. QB coach to head coach is a big jump, but it's not unprecedented. You also get to split the baby between blowing everything up and standing pat. If it flops, you can try the latter in 2021.I’m not opposed to Scott Turner getting the job. I’m not even kidding with you. Blow the whole goddamn thing up, keep the Turner family here. I got to know Scott a little bit at camp. I came away pretty impressed. I’m not saying that should or will happen, but it’s not a bad angle to look at.
Do that, and go hire some type of Wade Phillips clone to run the defense.
