49ers Withers charged with DWI

Charlotte forward Curtis Withers was arrested early Sunday morning and charged with driving while impaired and two related traffic offenses.

Mecklenburg County Sheriff's Department records show that Withers, 19, was arrested at 1 a.m. The other charges are driving after consuming alcohol by a person under 21 and hit and run resulting with property damage.

Withers, a sophomore and a graduate of West Charlotte High, leads the 49ers in scoring and rebounding with averages of 16.5 and 9.5, respectively. His 14 double-double games in scoring and rebounding leads Conference USA.

He is the second Charlotte player to face legal problems in recent weeks. Starting guard Demon Brown was arrested last month on misdemeanor charges of communicating threats.

So, what's the deal, how long will Withers be out? Any word from Lutz yet? Of course we need him for the tourney, but if it's a couple game suspension I think we will be fine. What did he hit? Anyone got more info, this is pretty fucking big
