2nd HD

bought a 160 gb 8 mb cache HD - want to install it. Is it worth ghosting over the data and making the old one the 2nd? It has a 2 MB cache.
Also, is it worth buying an ATA100 or IDE card?

That would be a good idea. Then you can nuke the 2nd once you figure out you don't need anything else from it.

I got a 180Mb drive as an external. I've found that I enjoy the flexibility of plugging it into other machines. Try just getting a USB case. If you're USB2.0 compliant, it's super fast.

You can share it on your computer and therefore see it on the network. I paid $145 I think for the whole kit, but I know you can find them on eBay for about $30 or at compUSA for $40 and up. Just make sure it's the right size. 3.5 or 5.25" and that it has an external power supply. The USB port doesn't really supply enough power to operate a 180Gb drive.
