15 - played like ass!

22 - held onto his roster spot (so far)

31 - I wasn't impressed (the 2nd round pick curse?)

59 - will beat Adams for a roster spot

74 - didn't show much.

Obviously I didn't see the game, but the idea that Adams won't make the team is just flat out stupid. Not only is he our best coverage linebacker, but he's probably going to take over Hankton's role as special teams captain.

And no, the local Fox station isn't showing the game today after missing it last night. *sigh*

I thought Seward played pretty well. I hope he makes the team. He had a couple of big hits on special teams and he blocked a punt.

I have it on tape, I'll see if I'm going to be at the book store early this week and if so I'll get it to you.

they have Draft, so it's not like they're totally lost at MLB, but you've got one guy covering both backup SLB and MLB? I don't think you plan to do that to yourself. The run D looked much different between 59 and 54 and there's a reason they moved Ciurciu out of MLB in the past - he doesn't keep a gap, and if you watch the Burns TD you see that he sells out to the TE gap when the run's off left guard.

Don't know how they're going to keep 7 LBs, but 7 isn't going to be Ciurciu, no matter what he does on ST. Seward was just as active as Ciurciu on ST, as well as the block.

The chances of dropping Adams are small; the only situation would be if Anderson is good enough to make the nickel D, which he looks much closer than you'd have figured. The dropoff on coverage is basically experience.

Yeah, and it doesn't hurt that Flajole was basically using Adams to show the rest of the LBs proper technique on pass coverage. Damn, how nice is it going to be to have LBs who can actually cover people all over the field this year? WW was solid, but now our only weak link is Morgan. I wish he'd come off in the nickel, but Fox loves him out there for some reason.

I like Vinny's heart, but if he makes the team at the expense of Seward then something's wrong.

Seward won't beat out Adams for a roster spot. He was good last night, but he wasn't that good, and most of his notable plays came on special teams.

I guess you meant the Gates TD?

Marshall didn't impress me either, but its very early. He came from a very simple D, and its probably going to take awhile.
