12th man: Thanks to the crowd

Spoken by Mike Rucker after the game:

"I think that the big thing today and I really tip my hat off because this comes from my heart, the fans were really in it today and they helped us get pressure by being loud. They weren't able to hard count us and they let us get back there. It was good for our team and our fans and the city to see the tree bearing fruits now. I thank the crowd today."

I got to get down there to a game. It was fun as hell just watching the crowd on TV today.

It's hard to believe this is the same team that was booed off the field at halftime of the JAX game.

I have to give the fans a c for todays effort... They were loud but, they were doing the F'ing wave when our offense was on the field... The players were in the huddle and motioning for silence but, the wave continued. It was terrible.... I'm all for a rowdy noisy stadium but, not when we have the ball.

The crowd was loud. First game I have left with my ears ringing. Correct about the wave and the noise at the wrong time, though. "Shhhhh!" was flashing on the screens in the endzones. The offense was waving their arms trying to quiet the crowd. A guy in our section said who cares, the game is over anyway. Of course most around me had waited until the wave to get excited anyway. They had run out of conversation about the new house under construction, the new puppy, the trip to Maui and other non football issues. Anyway, glad to see the crowd and glad to hear the noise, just need to learn the appropriate times to scream.

I had a great time. I sat in the endzone lower level where they blocked the kick and Kasey made the 53 yarder. It was pretty loud.

Yelling "block that kick!" as loud as we could, the crowd was into it.

It would start to get a little quite, and the Falcons would get a first down or two, and then next thing you know, the fans would wake up and get wild, yelling"DEFENSE! DEFENSE!" and the Panthers would come up with a stop or sack. You could see the players lovin it too. It was great.

Oh yea, my section started the wave.

I'm going to as many games as the wife will allow this year. I'm already bugging her about the Saints game. They ain't sold out yet, and be ready to pay premiums on the street, if you can find any at all.

The days of $20 seats are over people.

First full stadium (or at least looked like it) in a LONG time. Like someone said easy tickets are over. Scalpers were hard pressed to find any. I have hated the wave ever since it came in to exisitence what 20+ years ago? Can really tell the seasoned fans. they are the ones with their asses in the seats when the wave comes by

Is that supposed to be a slam? I'm new to Charlotte, but not football. The wave is a cool thing. It can be over done, but it's cool. I have to admit though, I only put my arms up, I didn't stand and go "whoooooooooooo"

I saw scalpers selling tickets all over the place. Thats how we got our tickets.
