although I disagree with a couple guys on this list, it is still somewhat interesting...Gross makes the list at #8.

3 TE's listed, no Seidman. Here's my vote Seidman rates best amoung rookie TE's

I'm surprised he left out Rogers for Detroit. I would remove Andre Johnson and replace him with Rogers on that list. I would also add Boss Bailey to have substantial impact as a rook. With Mooch and a more seasoned Harrington the Lions should start coming on. IMO they had as strong a draft as anyone and 8 or 9 rookies could easily be long-term contributors for them. If I were a Lions fan I would be VERY psyched.

I think Joppru will be the most impressive rook TE. He gives Carr some options he didn't have last year.

Parcells had him in his top 16 and wanted him in round 2. Jones vetoed him out of need for a center.

Witten's fall just smells too much like what happens each year to talented players who have a minor injury and later have success.

Wouldn't surprise me if rogers struggled...a lot of rookie receivers struggle, he's in a complicated offense. getting him in camp on time will help a lot. A kid they got in 6th round named David Kircus could have a better rookie year because he played in a similar offense in college...albeit division II. Kircus can play. He's kinda like a Bill Schroder with more talent.

Bailey was a steal. He's their 1st true strong side backer since jimmy williams which has been over 10 years. he is fast enough to cover WRs. The LB corp went from sucking to being very good if you include the FAs....Bailey will play every down (usually with porcher in front of him), so yeah, he'll have an impact.

I haven't seen Pinner play...I was surpised they didn't take Suggs given he is faster and their team goal was to increase speed. They thought Pinner was a better receiver.

Last time Lions fans were psyched before a season, Barry quit on them the day before training camp opened....leaving them without a RB. That was also the year of the Marshall Falk trade, there were three teams who had the cap room to make that trade and the Lions were one of them.....thanks barry.
