Let me start by saying that I do not think our defense had a bad game....

That said...Our defense does not particularly enjoy playing against zone block schemes, nor against backs who can cut on a dime

    2004:

    Atl (twice)
    Den
    Sea

    2005:

    Chicago

Dunn, Droughns, Alexander and Thomas Jones all come to mind. All were able to carve through our defensive front.

I am not here to tell you why this is. I have just observed that every time we play a team that employs this scheme, we are a little more generous against the run that usual.

    Thoughts?

I think all Ds are more generous. Its a great running scheme. Those OLs aren't supposed to be as good pass blocking, since the OLs tend to be smaller.

So you're saying we have trouble against good running backs?
