I have just gotten my home network setup. All 3 system recognize each other and I can print from all three. :)
For some this may be small potatos but thats ok I am one happy boy. Because of my setup I had to change the sharing protocol from TCP/IP to IPX/SPX. Learn something new everyday.

There is no valid configuration of a home network that should use IPX. IPX won't even be in the next rev of Windows.

I set up the network in my office just using internet sharing and a 6 year old hub. Just a few cables, a couple clicks and it was running.

At home, I networked a laptop (wireless) and a desktop with nothing more than the built-in windows networking.

Since I'm the novice here, is this a problem? If so I won't be offended.:)

What all computers (types) are you using? What hubs/routers/switches and what operating systems? Are you running a server? how are setting up file and print sharing? Need more info, but a tip... I'd ONLY be using TCP/IP if I were you

as far as the shared files, the shared folders and printer were automatic. No server.
