Overview

On Sunday, April 30th the cars and stars of NASCAR’s Nextel Cup Series will meet to do battle on the super high banks of Talladega Superspeedway. As a preview to the action at Talladega, The Children’s Hospital Alliance of Tennessee (CHAT) will host a three-day Race Fan Festival at the Music City Motorplex (MCM) located at the Tennessee State Fair Grounds in Nashville, Tennessee. Proceeds from the event will benefit Tennessee’s Children’s Hospitals.



For decades, the Tennessee State Fair Grounds has been the home of some of NASCAR’s greatest racing, hosting Cup, Busch, Truck and NASCAR Sanctioned Weekly Racing. In fact, 2005 will mark the 101st anniversary of motor racing at this site.



The tradition continues with the Fairground’s Music City Motorplex hosting NASCAR sanctioned Dodge Weekly Racing as well as numerous touring events. Located only 4 minutes from the heart of Music Row; the Music City Motorplex is within a few miles of all of the exciting attractions of what Nashville, the “Home of Country Music” has to offer including the Country Music Hall of Fame, Ryman Auditorium and the Grande Ole Opry.



CHAT provides organizational leadership to the most prestigious and state-of-the-art Children’s Hospitals in Tennessee. The alliance consists of Tennessee’s 4 Major Children’s hospitals.
