I'd kick myself in the ass for letting Brian Griese go.

I'd seriously consider trading for Marques Tuiasosopo. Really.

He's got a couple (?) of seasons in Gruden's offense already. He's mobile, decent in short to mid yardage, and cheap.

Not a terrible idea. Gruden and Bruce Allen did draft the guy. I'm not sure it would be much of an upgrade over what they have, though, or what they could get in the FA market.

At the behest of Al Davis, though, right? I remember everyone except Larry thought they were crazy for taking him that early, and Larry was only happy because he'd gotten shit for taking him in the second round of our mock. Might as well see what they have with Grabass.

for their offense? maybe. Of course, they have a similar guy already. And though he's dealt with coaching change, he's really not done much.

No, he hasn't. I think the reason for that is the shift back to power rush/deep pass football that Davis demanded after Gruden left. Tui is best suited to a version of a WCO, but never got a chance to fully develop under Gruden and behind Gannon. He doesn't have the vision, nor the arm to run Turner's or Shell's offense.

I'm not saying he's starter material, but I'd put him in before Gradkowski, at any rate.

    FROM ESPN Insider

<Sep. 26> The first wave of possible replacements for Bucs QB Chris Simms will arrive in Tampa Tuesday, reports ESPN.com's John Clayton. Veteran Tommy Maddox the will visit the Bucs along with Kliff Kingsbury and maybe three others. Another option for the Bucs might be a trade for Oakland third-stringer Marques Tuiasosopo, whom Jon Gruden drafted when he was with the Raiders.
Simms hasn't been ruled out for the season after having his spleen replaced, but the Bucs need to make a move to get them through the next couple of weeks. It wouldn't be a surprise if the Bucs look at former Cowboys quarterback Drew Henson.

Shaun King, Tommy Maddox, Cody Pickett, Cliff Kingsbury, Lane Cambell and Brian Randle all worked out Tuesday for the Bucs.

I guess Gradkowski gets the start.
