For a while there, i couldnt bitch about them fast enough. It sure did seem like more. For certain, he got nailed on most every play in that 4th quarter, if not the game.

I wanna see what Mathis has. He cannot be worse than Reyes. As for Wharton, we'll have to live with him and address that in the offseason.

Actually it was because that one was taken away on the face mask.

Actually, tackles are supposed to be a strength.
    Ferguson, McNeill, Whitworth, Winston.

Honestly, I don't see it with Winston. I keep hearing how he's one of the top tackles in the nation and should be drafted highly, but he looks very average to me. I know he's coming back from injury so maybe he'll get better, but I wouldn't want him at this point.

There are enough OTs out there to do something, yeah.

Regardless, this is one game that Wharton's been abused. When the whole team's looking like shit, a lot of times the weaknesses we were never certain about before, are the ones singled out worse. Like my railing upon WW in early 04.

Wharton did have an exceptionally poor game, though, so if it keeps up, he does get replaced, no question.

There were times where Jake could've released the ball quicker. Certainly, somewhere we've gotta come up with a RG that can keep from getting walked into the QB, and Gross has to get better there too. And, of course, he's gotta step up in the pocket hard the way he has somewhat in the past. He's also gotta keep running as an option, because he gets fired up when he rushes, he can gain good yardage rushing, and he seems to make decent decisions on when things aren't open the way he wants them, at least when he's not decided to throw blind.

The pass protection was the biggest failure throughout this game.

I don't think Wharton has been good in too many games, and he's been a weakness in several. But at the same time, I do fault the team for seemingly never giving him any help. God damn, send a back to chip if you don't want to line the TE up on that side.

He should be getting the help, yeah.
