The axis will tilt even more next year when the Yankees pay Cliff Lee a mint to pitch in the Bronx.

Until the rules are different and a hard cap is in place it doesn't matter. Then again you have cheap owners in KC and Pitt who refuse to pay decent wages and just take the luxary money from the spenders.

The payroll numbers are all over the place. Some teams are getting some bang for their buck thou. San Diego won 90 games with the second lowest payroll. It gives us all a good reason to pull against the Yanks come playoff time.

It's a wonder with all the money the Mets have thrown away that Omar didn't get fired sooner. I bet Cliff Lee gets his nob polished hard by them. It's no guarentee that Santana comes back healthy. They really need to get their starting staff close to being in order.

Texas really needs to win the home games. They lost both of their home games in the Rays series, but took all 3 in the indoor warehouse in St. Pete. Yankee Stadium is a whole different situation during the playoffs.

Cliff Lee does it again for the Rangers. I`ve not really heard of this guy until this year. Dude looks to have been around awhile.

Cy Young 2 or three years back in AL. Ate the Yankees lunch twice last year in World Series. Probably going to be in pinstripes next year unless the Mets come to their senses and go after him
