You posted a pic of a pizza. I assume you made it. I need details, specifically dough and sauce (as if there is much else)

i didnt make the pie in that pic and dont have a good recepie for dough. it's a bitch to make, requires a stand mixer, you gotta fuck with the yeast, let the dough rise...etc etc etc

seriously...stop by your favorite pizza joint and ask to buy a ball of dough from them. if you like their sauce, get it too. take it home and have a simple, semi-homemade pie.

you'll also need a spit/paddle or something to slide the dough/raw pizza off of onto the pizza stone. suggest corn mean between the dough and paddle.

    dont know unless you ask

every family owned or independent operation probably would. i've gotten dough from Luigi's off S. Tryon and taken it home. made calzone and stromboli with it.

I made dough at an Italian Rest. for my first job so I am familiar with it. I was going to buy a bread machine but I had car trouble and wasted a bunch of time so I ended up just buying some dough from an Italian deli/specialty store.

This guy is a maniac about pizza. This is exactly the kind of info I was interested in. The dude altered his oven so that it would get up to 800 degrees. I used his method for preparing the tomatos and it worked well. I've never known how to get rid of the bitterness from whole tomotos.

i've never seen canned, whole tomatos used for sauce.

use a can of crushed tomatos
    small can of tomato paste
pinchs of salt, pepper, garlic powder, sugar, dried oregano, basil and thyme

if you want that "whole tomato" affect...core a fresh tomato, cut an "X" in the bottom of it (just enough to break the skin) and place for 30 seconds in boiling water. immediately then put in ice water. peel off the skin, cut it in half and squeeze the seeds out of it. Cut it into chunks and decorate.
