I was anxiously awaiting your reply because I knew you were going to explain my question in simple terms I could understand and you didn't help one iota.

Why any idiot would pay to listen to the radio while it is offered free is beyond me. Its nothing but a status symbol.

No. You can't. XM and Sirius have their own stations...LOADS of them. If you like a station's format is Charleston, Sirius and XM will have several that you like. They also have a ton of national talk shows, sports...many stations have no commercials. You can pick up the reception anywhere in the country (supposedly).

By the way SEC football is moving to XM next year...

That's why I'm leaning towards XM, because every day during the baseball season there is a game going on somewhere. Football happens once a week during the season and I will be in front of my t.v. for that. Which one of them has College Basketball?

Pluto - they each have their own lineup of stations, all with their own exclusive programming. But there are so many that there are sure to be at least 2 or 3 that are right up your alley. 90% of the time, I listen to 2 particular music stations, and almost never feel an urge to "channel surf", 'cause the music is all to my tastes.

There are no commercials on Sirius music stations. They do have DJs though, but they don't interfere much and a few of them really add something to the broadcasts.

BTW, do you have TIVO or DVR for your cable TV? My Sirius S50 Player is the radio equivalent. I can save songs on the fly, fast forward, pause, rewind, etc. It's very cool if you are the type to always have the radio on in the car. And I take the unit in to my office and plug it into my iPod speakers on my desk and listen to recorded radio all day at work (no commercials!)

You do realize that you can actually watch all of these games, right?

Yes, I get the baseball package, but I can't watch if I'm in my car. It would be nice, even if it's a short trip to flip on a baseball game to see what's going on.
