    What are the benefits of each? I'm leaning towards XM because they have Baseball and ESPN Radio, but SIRIUS has Football. I've heard that XM actually does have commercials. Any input would be helpful.

    there is no debate. Sirius is hands down the best. NFL, NBA, NHL, college, but no acc, and Howard Stern. If they get ACC anytime soon I'll shit myself.

    xm=oprah sirius=howard stern .
    i've heard that sound quality is better on xm.. is so, that's the only thing better about xm.. being a displaced cavs and browns fan, sirius was the only choice anyways since they have nba and nfl games.
    and , beware, there are plenty of censored music stations on both..

    The only, and I mean only reason I have XM is for Steve Czaban. If you don't like him, get Sirius.

    XM is best.

    xm is less expensive, has more satellites, has more terrestrial repeaters.

    any real fan of the nfl is going to be WATCHING the games on sunday.

    xm has acc, big 10 and pac 10 football and basketball. awesome.

    1. I paid less for a year of Sirius than XM wanted to charge me

    2. I have NEVER had a problem with signals or signal strengths on Sirius, so the extra satellites, etc are meaningless. It's all compressed data packets - neither one is better (reception or sounding), fans just imagine it cause they want to.

    3. Sirius' music selections blow XM's away.

    4. I love my S50 player. Best thing I've ever bought. 50 hours of recorded music and talk shows that I can organize into playlists or listen to on shuffle. It rules. My iPod is gathering dust.

    If someone is so inclined to explain all this to me, I would be more than appreciative.

    I don't understand what 'satellite' radio is. Can I listen to this really cool station in Charleston if I get it? Is it all music, no commercials? Does it just simply mean I can pick up stations all over the nation or is it specific radio set just for xm or sirius?

    So inept and so white.

    i almost changed to xm because they are cheaper and seem to always have some sort of deal. now I know why after listening to it or a couple of days. xm sucks compared to sirius. just wish sirius would offer some deals like xm.
