Can't figure out why Robinson isn't playing well. He was awesome for Spurs all season. Of course, his centerback pairing may well be better than what is playing for England right now.

Sucks for Owen - he's a class act.

But, I really think that this might have been the best possible thing that could have happened for England. Sven wasn't going to change his lineup even though it was readily apparent to everyone that Owen couldn't cut it right now. So, I think that England will go to a 4-5-1 with a midfield of Cole, Gerrard, Hargreaves, Lampard, Beckham with Rooney by himself up front. I still would like them to find a place - at least for 30 minutes or so - for Lennon. If they do stay in a 4-4-2, I would put Cole with Rooney and move Gerard to the left flank.

Id like to see Rooney and Crouch up front again. Crouchy really showed some pace in that game, he ran more than ive ever seen him in the first half of that game. He's such a threat due to his size alone and his footwork really is outstanding.

Id like to see Lennon too, he really is a nice player and really helped open things for Beckham game 2. Not impressed with Hargreaves at all so im not too keen on the 4-5-1. Got to get Gerrard up more, he's pure class.

United States is gonna lose. hahahhahahaha. Thank God no more development of the sport of soccer will be seen in this country. Our soccer team is like the Panthers, make it to the playoffs one cup, fall flat on our face the next. We blow and it's kind of an embarrasment, but at least we don't have to hear about soccer taking a stronghold in this country. What an awful performance all the way through. At least in the Italy game it looked like they were trying. And we waited 4 years for this garbage?

Hargreaves was pretty much their best player las match. He's willing to do the dirty work that Lampard and Gerrard are not.

About the only way to get Lennon and Beckham on the pitch at the same time would to move Beckham back to right back, which I don't think Sven would do to start a match.

Not sold on Crouch - primarily because when he is in there, England only try to pass the ball to his head.

It really was bad. Everybody was having a go at the ref, but what the hell is he supposed to do? When both sides are as determined to foul the other as these 2 were - badly and viciously - there is nothing that the ref can do to get control of the match.

And what the hell were the Dutch thinking on that drop ball after the Portugese stopped play because of the injured Dutch player? The football gods did not like that at all.

I was hoping that game would go to extra time just so more people would get sent off (England play the winner). Figo should have gone for the headbutt also. I was surprised to read no further action will be taken against him. Getting carded for tackling late is one thing, but a headbutt caught on tape for the world to see only gets a yellow? What are you thinking Fifa? That looked worse that the Italian Job that cost that player a four game suspension.

That Germany v Argentina game will be a cracker. Ill be pulling for the Germans.
