THe ability to learn the playbook would be important. Intelligence in a QB is a factor, but in DBs, i would not care that much.

While an average football player usually scores around 20 points, Wonderlic, Inc. claims a score of at least 10 points suggests a person is literate.[2] Furthermore, when the test was given to miscellaneous people of various professions, it was observed that the average participant scored a 24. Examples of scores from everyday professions include:

    Chemist – 31
    Programmer – 29
    Journalist – 26
    Sales – 24
    Bank teller – 22
    Clerical worker – 21
    Security guard – 17
    Warehouse – 14

It matters when your cornerback is too dumb to know what coverage you are in and causes an unnecessary touchdown. Granted, CB is probably the one position where it matters least, but it does matter. To what extent can be argued.

    Wonderlic measures SAT-type sensibilities.

I would still argue that Revis is the top corner, when healthy, in the NFL. He scored a 10.

What kind of questions do they ask on that test? It's probably racially biased

Disguising coverage is really important in today's NFL. DND (Do Not Draft)
