Withers in Final 13, McCants out

Like I said before I like UNCC, I like BOTH schools. The only reason I sniped the Niners in the past was due to the attacks metro made on the TarHeels.

As far as "this is a Niners forum" goes there are like 4 guys anymore that post here as Niner fans. At this point there are more Tar Heels fans. So for example if the Tar Heel fans go to the Hoops forum and cut the Niners the Niners have free range to rebutt, but since the 4 or so Niner fans have a seperate forum its not right for Tar Heel fans to provide rebuttle? That's BS. Its a weak defense. I don't care if this was posted in R&R. there was no need for a thread that was supposedly based on Curtis Withers solid achievements to have a bit thrown in about McCants being cut. If it was based on the area where is the part that says congrats to Sean May, or even moreso Chris Paul who is from Charlotte? There is none because it was a useless snipe.

 

I don't have a problem with the snipe or you returning fire. That's the division here. Fans of these two programs tend to not respect the other one. It's the status quo.

Anyway, I don't feel like arguing. It's not even football season yet.

Tar Heels' McCants cut from USA Basketball team
Wednesday, July 21: North Carolina guard Rashad McCants has added motivation to prove his cynics wrong after he was surprisingly cut from the USA Basketball World Championship for Young Men's Qualifying team earlier in the day. McCants' attitude reportedly went south since playing well over the weekend. McCants was considered a lock to make the 12-player team that will compete in Halifax, Nova Scotia, next week for one of three spots in the championship event in Argentina in 2005. The other cuts Wednesday were Villanova forward Curtis Sumpter and Oregon point guard Aaron Brooks. The last cut will come down to Eric Williams of Wake Forest and Louisville's David Padgett. If Williams (stomach ailment) is healthy, then he'll make the squad. The 11 locks so far are: PGs -- Chris Paul (Wake Forest), Mustafa Shakur (Arizona); SG - Bracey Wright (Indiana), Justin Gray (Wake Forest), Shannon Brown (Michigan State); SF -- Hassan Adams (Arizona), Adam Morrison (Gonzaga); PF -- P.J. Tucker (Texas), Curtis Withers (Charlotte), Charlie Villanueva (Connecticut); Sean May (North Carolina). USA basketball officials were quick to point out the trials is for choosing a team, not the 12 most talented players.

Can we have at least one Niners post without getting into the whole UNC/UNCC crap? It's getting old.

If anything, it should be the other way around. I have way more life experience in being an ABCer than metro does and Over40 has more than that.

 

Maybe you should spend a little less time on being an ABCer and a little more time on being constructive about your own team.

brain, first of all, you are a liar. You have stated many times that when UNC plays Charlotte, you would/did root for UNC. That is F'd up any way you slice it, even if you hate me. That is the only thing you get slammed for, so don't go backing up now like you are a Withers or Charlotte fan.

I will continue my onslaught of the Tarheels as soon as football season starts and hoops of course. I am sure you all will disappear during football season.
