    for me its alt + prt scrn up at the top right of the keyboard. that copies it to the clipboard, then i just open up paint and paste it there. thats it.

    with screen capture programs. I use the one in paint shop pro. I think IRfanview which is a freebie also does them. If you''re using a mac it's built in.

    Just prt scrn will capture everything on the screen, too.

    yeah, print screen will capture to the clipboard. alt-print screen will capture only the active window. then go to a paint program and paste. photoshop is smart enough to use the clipboard's dimensions as the default when you create a new document.
