Windows Owner Folder Confusion

    I've been trying to clear useless shit off my computer. I'm using Windows XP, & inside my Documents and Settings folder there is the Owner folder. Then within that there's another Owner folder. Each of those contains a My Documents folder along with numerous others. At first I thought the extra one was just a duplicate, but I've found their contents are similar, but not the same.

    WTF? Why are there 2 of them, & why aren't they the same? Having both of them seems like a waste of space at the least, not to mention a source of confusion.

    Is the extra Owner folder within the 1st one supposed to be there? If I go to My Documents from the Desktop & make changes, which folder do those changes take place in? I know some stuff I thought was deleted was still in there, for instance.

    I would think that after verifying that all the documents & other files I want are in the 1st Owner folder, I could delete the whole 2nd one; but I want to be sure I won't fuck anything up if I do that.

    Anyone know?

    Edit: In case it matters, I'm the only one who uses this computer & it's not on a network.
