Oh.. and I should clarify something I said earlier that came across as "dipshit stoner mentality.". My "bible belt" statement was more of a statement about how conservative this area of the country is. I just don't expect the deep south to lead the charge when it comes to reform.

    I love Christians.

    From the link:
"Attentiveness, vigilance, perception of time and speed, and use of acquired knowledge are all affected by marijuana;1821 in fact, a meta-analysis of 60 studies concluded that marijuana causes impairment in every performance area that can reasonably be connected with safe driving of a vehicle, such as tracking, motor coordination, visual functions, and particularly complex tasks that require divided attention,22 although studies on marijuana’s effects on reaction time have been contradictory."

The supposed argument about marijuana being less dangerous than alcohol for driving under the influence depends entirely on behavioral compensation for impairment, not that marijuana causes less impairment. That may be true, in which case I shouldn't have said "as dangerous," although I'm dubious about that effect actually being real outside of sterile test conditions. I'm also amused that someone who insisted marijuana hadn't been studied then linked a marijuana study.

There is no one on this board that needs weed and a dose of mushrooms more than Collin. Both are natural substances and both relax the mind from the preconceived notions that get built up like plaque. They are freeing and rearranging. A person doesn't even realize how they have added layer upon layer of structure to their outlook in life until they have it come crashing down and then rebuilt.

Everyone should do mushrooms once in their life. And weed makes sex feel better, music sound better, comedy seem funnier. It is certainly 1000% healthier for you than alcohol or cigarettes, especially if you eat it (the best way by far to ingest it).

Listening to people like Collin, reminds me of tough guys who talk shit and yet have never trained for anything. It is humorous and people mistake aggressive and assertive talk for veracity. Style over substance. A bark with no bite. The loudest asshole in the bar is not the one you should worry about.

Having personally been stoned as he'll and drunk as hell, Collin and anyone else
claiming weed impairs one's ability to drive worse than or equal to alcohol is just plain wrong.

Back in college, some buddies and I would get stoned and ride our motorcycles all around the Texas hill country. There is no way in hell I would ever ride a motorcycle drunk. That is suicidal and people who do deserve their Darwin award.

I said "few" and "scarce." I never insisted that it had not been studied at all. A simple reschedule would open the door to a lot more research though. I think most would agree that cannabis should not be schedule 1.

Yeah ... uhm ... your link included information from several different studies, and that's just on driving. Research into marijuana has never been "scarce" and you were wrong to say so.

I actually liberals more than I like conservatives. I just don't think we should ever take their ideas seriously.

All true, but lets put 2 cars driven by 1 guy stoned and 1 guy drunk on a open freeway and see who gets from point A to point B first. I guarantee you the stoned one will drive a shitload slower and is looking for a McDonalds instead of driving fast
