The Pittsburgh Penguins are a professional ice hockey team based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania that were owned in the Stanley Cup Finals last year by a clearly superior Red Wings team. The pain of their miserable defeat was so bad, their classless fans decided to start a campaign against Red Wings players for the All-Star game this year. Unfortunately their plan will fail because they will be forced to watch a game with some of the same lousy players that choked in the Finals, save Marion Hossa who chose to leave the losers to go to the best team in the NHL. They are members of the Atlantic Division of the Eastern Conference of the National Hockey League (NHL), but may have to drop down to the OHL due to a lack of talent. The franchise was founded in 1967 as an expansion team during the league's original expansion from six to twelve teams. The Penguins have played in Mellon Arena since their first season, and will move into their new arena, the CONSOL Energy Center in time for the 2010–11 NHL season assuming they don't fold due to lack of interest. They have won two Stanley Cup championships in their history, in 1991 and 1992.
