He isn't, but it's one of those situations where Buffalo will almost certainly release him because of his very high cap numbers. And regarding Wayne, someone else recently posted an article suggesting that Indianapolis will franchise him.

A really good second, third and fourth wideout would be awsome.

But so would it be awsome if, given they would be lined up, d'hommie would actually LOOK for them.

Some are gonna flame Delhomme for dialing up 89 all year. Regardless, Keary Colbert looked lost all season. Just looked plain lost.

Proehl can do things for you (Detroit game, Buffalo game, Atlanta game, Dallas game, etc.), but he is not a legit #2. Carter excites me a bit, particularly the two grabs from the NFCC.

We need a few things (not a new QB) that should help:

    A center.
    A right guard.
    A #2 receiver.

    Goddamn, I hope so.

I really loved the way he played the game in 2004, in spite of the dropsies. But he just looked dead this year. Opposite 89, that will happen. Colbert should have been doing more damage, and Delhomme should have made a better effort to get him the bread.

I've been giving jake a hard time, yes.

No, I don't think we are gonna find a better one at this juncture.

But he does have a propensity to look at one reciever, his 'go to' guy.

Just because doods aren't in the TV frame doesn't mean they are lost or have dissappeared.

Sure, Colbert has dropped a few, etc., but there have been many times all of the other one/two/three have been open, and still jake forced it to 89/87 for whatever reason.

Delhomme's flaws are obvious. Footwork and reads.

He can make mulitple throws from multiple angles. He can be elusive, and should utilize that more. Give him Hasselbeck's pocket, and he will carve you to pieces. (See SB38. See Wild Card weekend. See Divisional Round.)

Interior pressure is something that no quarterback enjoys. Delhomme's footwork goes to hell, more than most QB's, when Mitchell and Reyes get forklifted 3-5 yards into the backfield.

It's just not that hard to figure out. You build the man a pocket, he will torch your ass. If you collapse the pocket, you will probably walk away with a couple of interceptions, maybe a forced fumble.

Interior pressure is certainly part of the problem, but a great many if not majority of Jake's boneheaded interceptions have come on quick routes such as slants in which defensive pressure played no significant role.
