    I hated his drafting, and I still would have cut him loose after the Bright incident, but I give him all the credit in the world for becoming the receiver he is. It's obviously not the system; Steve has done this all by himself. Kudos.

    Agreed, I wasn't happy at all back then with him, but he has certainly done a 180 turn around. One helluva player now and turned into a pretty damn nice team leader as well on the O.

    That, and the miserable losing streak at the time (Smith fumbled the Tampa game away) was enough for me to say "cut the bastard". Obviously, they made the right call. And credit to him for growing up since then.

    Steve Smith has amazing hands. He usually puts up a fight to go for the ball. He can jump. He has blazing speed. He can break tackles, kind of like an undersized HB.

    There is no reason except for his hight to not start him. A taller more physical WR would be nice to compliment him; Colbert is such a disappointment this year.
