It might have been the receiver's fault. It was a blitz and farve obviously thought his receiver would run a post...but the receiver broke the post route off for somethign short...that was his blitz read. who was right? ask the offensive coordinator....

Actually it looked like a botched run that he just got rid of the ball

probably a play action fake....a run would have put OL downfield before the pass= penalty.

Does it really matter now? Who really gives a shit now? We're playing the Eagles and nothing is going to change that.Hell yeah I wanted the Packers in our house with the tittle on the line. Now we'll just take it in the Eagles house and make the Eagles 3 time loosers.

Could have been that. Could have been an option route.

Newsflash for some of you that seem to follow the receiver situation heatedly - receivers drop balls. Receivers can run poor routes. Receivers sometimes do stop on routes because it's a bad situation. Moose's done it, Smith's done it, each of them having it work out because it pulls the DB short. You never notice it when it works. Well, I do. I saw it this week, I've seen it a lot this year. It sucks, when it means an INT because of miscommunication. But they do it for a reason.

Just like changing a route. Sometimes QBs and receivers do have that link. They can look at each other mid-play and be able to improvise. Sometimes it looks like it was drawn up that way, sometimes it doesn't work out as well.

But it still happens. There's more that goes down on a pass play, sometimes, than what's drawn into the paper or written to the armband.

It looked to me like he was trying trying to throw it away. I don't care if the receivers stopped or kept going, as high in the air as that thing was, anybody could have gotten back under it.
