    chick hearn got in trouble for saying something a few years ago.

    bo outlaw got a tip in dunk and then hung on the rim for a moment. chick said something like "outlaw hangs on the rim like a monkey -- get him a banana".

    he appologized for it, but i don't think he meant it as a racial slur. sure, outlaw is black, but it was his hanging on the rim that made him monkey-like, not his race.

    I find both statements to be, to a point, true, because they go hand in hand to a degree. I took his comments synonymous to the second statement, and I do find it makes sense.

    I don't think you guys know what "racism" is.

    Who here actually know exactly what Rush said? Not heard it off hand, but either read it or heard Rush say it Sunday morning?

    I was watching it and I think I still have it recorded. I couldn't believe they didn't pull the plug on his ass right then and go to break.

    The other guys seemed cool about, but I bet you anything Tom Jackson would like to have come out his seat and gone over there and beat the living shit out of Rush right then and there.

    If you find Rush's statement racist then Deon Sanders and Eric allen should be fired also for comments they made about Jason Seahorn. If your are going to be PC be PC across the board.

    What is the word for balck folks these days? African-American, Black...it changes so often.

    You forgot Al Campanis the old LA Dodger GM who told Ted Koppel on Nightline one time that blacks weren't good swimmers but they were good runners and leapers because thats what their ancestors did in Africa.

    As for those three I would have to say its a three way tie - in other words they are all LOSERS.
