    Howard's remarks are obviously the most derogatory.

    Howard called his grand kids monkeys. His comments was the farthest from racial. What happen to him on MNF and his reputation from that is a crime.

    I'd go with Howard's comments although he was from a much different (and more racial) time.

    I don't know Howard Cosell nor his grandchildren.

    Personally, what Rush said was racial only because of the word "black" in there. I don't find what he said to be based on any sort of racial hatred, nor Howard's really, but Howard's was a known racial slur. "Black" isn't.

    Would this have stirred up as much controversy if someone had said the media wanted an Asian pitcher to make it in MLB?
