Personally, I'd prefer the Pacers.
  • Jason Kidd is always dangerous.
  • I think the Nets are a stronger team.
  • We own Indiana.
  • I've seen enough of Keith Van Horn. (There's something particularly unattractive about a tall, pasty-white dude wearing knee-high black socks.)

I would love to see New Jersey. I would love the guard matchup, Kidd vs. Davis. I hope they get to the finals and have a last harrah before they turn to Nawlins'.

I think matching up against the Pacers would give us a better shot at the Finals. I said this on another post, but I've come around and will cheer for the team as long as the unis say 'Charlotte' on them. I ignore who owns them. Fuck, I hope we go all the way and beat the Lakers in the Finals. Where would the parade be? HAHAHAHAHAHA

Indiana. New Jersey is too much "run & gun" for us to keep-up. Mash hopefully will rejoin the Bugz soon, but we have more match-up advantages with the Pacers.

Hornets to the finals AND win it?

That would be awesome. Can we keep the team, but send the owners to New Orleans? Just a thought.

It would be nice to send them away. The closer to reality the team moving becomes, the more I think it sucks. The NBA sucks. George and Ray suck. Fuck 'em all. Go CHARLOTTE Hornets.

I'd rather face the Nets. They've got far less playoff experience than the Pacers. Also, the Pacers are bigger than us which is our main strength. Sure we beat them in the regular season, but was that before or after they traded Rose for Artest and Miller? Artest is a force out there. He's a bit wild, but he is a defensive juggernaught. Defense wins in the Playoffs. Miller is solid center with a good touch from the outside. He's no Carl Lewis, but he's a hustler.

The Nets have shown they're vulnerable to the game that Indy plays. We play a similar game -- inside out, half-court with defensive stops leading to breaks.

Also, we play better on the road.

Hard not to when your own house is mostly empty. Maybe some fans will show up for the next series, now that the weather is sunny.

Looks like it's gonna be the Nets. I was about to say that Reggie had lost it when he missed that 2nd FT, but hitting that miracle shot at the end of Regulation (are thereabouts) and then his "I can also" dunk at the end of the 1st OT made me change my mind.

I think I would rather have faced the Pacers, now that I think about it. They don't have anybody that gets all the calls like NJ does. Kidd can do no wrong, it seems and K-Mart is a Malone in training (ie, if you scowl and moan, you'll get the calls eventually). That's gonna be the hardest thing to deal with in a NJ series for us.

Either team would have been spent from such a tough series, but I think NJ may be able to recover better. Heck, they may end up more focused for having nearly blown it. Indy would have likely considered themselves to have accomplished all they could by simply beating the 1 seed.

Anybody know when the next series starts?

I hope I don't have to wake up early for it... Hopefully they're tired as hell and can't get their jump shots to fall.

As long as we pound it inside and get the rebounds, they're not gonna run on us. If they can't run on us, then they ain't gonna win.
