Well, I am Tarheel to the bone as Quick Willie would say, and I am mighty proud of their performance last night against UVA. After the heels, I try to pull for the niners even though their fans on the other board always got under my skin.

I would have to go with Duke then Wake. I'm a long time ABC fan since the '77 Final For when their fans would not even applaud for the 49ers in their game against Marquette UNTIL their cheerleaders urged them to do so. My blood blleds green but you are correct about some on the other board, it's taken too far overboard a lot of the time.

There is no "second team"

ASU is my alma mater. Of course I pull for them but they won't ever be more than a occasional dancer - first round loser. Hard to get too phsyced about them.

I too also liked to follow UNCC since their "Cornbread" days and when I lived in Charlotte.

But I never had any run ins with their excellent fans.

Life is good PanthersReturn, however it's gotten to the point that it's no fun to see them get routed each game. It was always more enjoyable to see them lose by 3-5 points instead of 25 when they're out of it after the first TV timeout.

Good point HighPoint - but I've listended to so much trash for so many years, that I like the fact that they have truly no life in them by halftime. Even their faithful (Wossa and a couple of others) hang with them - but many of the others appear to be of the "bandwagon" variety.

Put a fork in them - they're DONE!

I actually make it a point to check out the UNC games this year. I heard NBC was looking for new comedy to replace Friends next year and they have contacted the UNC basketball team about filling that spot!
