Just b/c no local teams are playing doesn't mean the season is over, fellas. I take the Terps b/c of their experience. Oregon showed they could run and put some points on the board against KU; too bad they got outrebounded 61-31--that's ludicrous. KU won't have the inside advantage against Maryland. Baxter, Wilcox, Holden, and Randle will be too much for Kansas, and let's not forget Dixon.

Don't call the aforementioned game the "real national championship." Oklahoma has played consistently better than the other three and that was in the toughest region, the west. The Sooners will rape IU and give Maryland all it can handle before falling in a Monday night thriller.

I give a shit about the panthers every day JCB. Any real Panthers fan things about the team every day. Perhaps I think of them more often because I can see the stadium from my building, but I was thinking the other day how much ass it's going to kick when we whip Washington's ass in the first exhibition. Fuck basketball, Panthers rule the year.

Kansas is strong inside, as is Maryland, but KU's perimeter is probably as good as anybody. Both teams will get theirs from the paint, but this fight will be won on the perimeter. KU has scored over 100 points 12 times this season. That's more offense than the DOOKIES could muster. Maryland better be ready! KU went undefeated in the Big12 for a reason. The Big12 happens to be a lot tougher than the ACC this year as well. I do feel that this is the real National Championship game though. Kansas plays ball like UNC used to. Kinda sickening, actually!

I'm with you, QCH! I read everything Panthers I can find in the off season thinking--how is our player going to interact with the new guy they just signed? What player are they gonna move where? Whose contract is gonna get restructured to make cap room to sign our draft choices, etc.?

It IS fun to imagine us beating Washington (if only in our minds!). Won't it be sweet victory when it happens in real life!! Go Panthers!!

Sorry JCB, but since Duke dissolved against the Hoosiers, my focus became the Panthers & Hornets.

In regard to Maryland, I had a dream last night that they lost by 4 to Kansas in OT.

Oklahoma beat Indiana, but I didn't get the margin.

Not sure who will win the final - but hopefully I won't have the game on in my head while I'm sleeping.

I think the Panthers are making some solid moves, especially considering their salary cap position. I'm geeked about the new coaching staff, and the fact that we didn't get Spurrier doesn't hurt at all right now (especially considering his penchant for acquiring former Gators - most of them not that productive as pros).

Captain Morgan, I think the Panthers can beat Maryland THIS year - last year, I think we'd have lost in the final minute...

I don't think about the sorry ass Panthers every day because I have been a 49ers fan since before the Panthers were a twinkle in Jerry Richardson's eye. The Panthers will never be anything close to what the 49ers were/are...sorry, the truth hurts....and so will what Md. is going to do to Kansas. They are the most overrated team in the country. If they somehow beat the Terps, which will take a very bad game from Md., they will be dominated, again, by Oklahoma in the title game.

Sorry, I really do like the Panthers, but they're still second to the 'Niners.

Anyway, I guess no one cares about basketball anymore. Goes to show how many of us actually watch the games outside Duke and Carolina.
