I mean, besides me. I heard Friday night it would be 64 at the start of the Winston, so I wore shorts and a long-sleeve shirt. I think me and 20 other people wore shorts. Everyone else was dressed for a blizzard.

I am now the proud owner of a $55 LMS jacket, though. With summer coming up, you always need a good jacket.

So why didn't you go ahead and get your fav driver jacket... ?

I wore shorts and yes I froze my ass off.

I've been there in October when they didn't have enough sweatshirts to sell. I remember being there for the first night race, and it was "One Hot Night", humid as hell.

Well, my UltimateTV digital recording feature has flaws. The 3 1/2 hour race was recorded, and as I sat comfortable on the couch, with a big bowl of ice cream while my wife lay asleep in the bed, I watched the races, and skip through the commecials. It's 1 am and everything is great. So just as they drop the green on the last 20 lap segment, the recording stops. Yep, seems the race ran a little over, as usual. I should have known, but it never crossed my mind. It seems that when go to the guide, hi-lite the program, hit the record button, your done. Well, it only records the time the guide says it is. There is an area where I can adjust and extend the time, so now I know.

So I missed the last 20 laps, and I couldn't find the replay anywhere. ESPN was great about that. You could always catch the race in the middle of the night.

I was already inside the gate and it didn't occur to me to leave and re-enter. Not my best mental night.

We were at the top of the Ford section, and the wind blew about 98% of the time up there. Fantastic seats, though, if you didn't have a heart attack climbing up to them.
