Yahoo is up and running and with a few tweaks it would work ok. If we stay with Yahoo instead of the 2 RB, 3 WR lineup scenerio I would prefer a 2 RB, 2WR and 1 RB/WR player. That way depending on your teams strenghts you can start either. Also last year we had IMO an obsurd (sp) rule that all trades had to be done by Wednesday of a week to allow the owners of the players moving to use them inthat weeks games. BULLSHIT! Ok thats off my back. Basically if two owners agree on Thursday ona trade and it goes through the 2 day trade period of owners approval then the commissioner hits allow trade button and both teams get the players that week, not next. I am standing fast on this one. The ability is there to do this and we don't need to wait on Yahoo to allow a trade our leagues have already voted on. Again I would prefer using Fanball.com but if more want Yahoo thats fine and I already have a league setup in Yahoo for that. Default settings down the line except for the (2,2 either) settings for RB, WR, either RB or WR on starting lineups. What do you think?

I'm indifferent to Fanball, never played it. I am a definite no on CBS & Sandbox, have played both more than once and neither measure up to Yahoo, IMO.

I am also in favor of your offensive Flex position. I did this and the 3 defensive flex players on the other team last year and enjoyed playing it better than no offensive flex and Team (I'm too lazy to pick players - defense).

Your scenario also creates a little more thought in the draft process.

I like the flex with offense as well. I still prefer team defense though. Too arbritrary, IMO, to be worthwhile. When you go with team defense, you study matchups.

Thought is good. I also played in a league where you chose defensive players. It was fun but a little more than I wanted to play. Team defence and keeping the same number of starting Offence players just give the individual owner the option of either a 3rd RB or 3rd WR

I'm still in the process of smashing your asses in baseball but I can handle both:D yahoo is fine with me....

Yes and if you want to look at matchups (even closer), It can make a big difference if you're looking for your lineman to get sacks when a team your going against that week has not allowed much, you may opt to go with an extra LB or DB. The problem I had with team defense is yes you could keep a couple but after the top 10 defenses most of the time you were just rolling dice - luck.

Not IMO. I've won a league plugging in mediocre defenses that just happened to play struggling offenses that week.

If Michael Strahan goes against Clements, you might like that matchup. But the Cards may decide to double up on him with the TE, and make Hamilton or Holmes get pressure. Strahan does his job, the Cards are now easier to defend without a TE, but he has no stats to show for it.

How about we have 2 leagues

I am all for having a league that plays with defensive players as well as a team defense. I really want to test myself against some people that are more fine tuned to football. IE MvM and Piper as well as Big Mark. Either of you three interested??

I hear ya big guy... I've always been fairly competitive. While MvM and Piper are probably 2 go to guys for the nitty gritty stuff, salary cap, etc... don't sell yourself short. A good understanding of who you're going up against each week is key. Understanding salary cap in a non salary league is well... unimportant.

So since I'm not in the know like Piper and MvM, which league of yours should I join? (Send me a PM) ;)

PP, I'm not that big into fantasy football, to be honest. I just don't put a whole lot of time in it, like Collin.

I know about certain players I'd wager more than some, which helps me out. But I never draft very well, because I'm too lazy to do the leg work.
