    You could start Magnus or Collin or Dukey at QB Sunday and it won't make any difference. If Marshall is the only decent CB on the field, Eli Manning is likely to have a career day. He'll hang 30-plus on this Panthers defense, which SHOWS NO GODDAM ANGER! Isn't there anybody on this unit except Jenkins who gets really pissed off???????

    I think Mangina Morgan used to get pissed when his helmet messed up his hair. Those were his 25 tackle games. Unfortunately, he alsmost always broke a nail, putting him out for 4-6 weeks.

    Yeah, it's odd. The comment about Jenkins getting angry is odd, too.


    Besides, everybody was assuming that Marc Bulger would have a career game against Christian Morton and Dion Byrum, and that obviously didn't happen.

    Listen: Carolina's defense was never dominant. NEVER. Not over the course of an entire season. Not in 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, or this year. The notion that is was ever dominant was born out of the talking heads in Bristol, as well as a few egos (Mint, Buck) in the locker room. It's a decent defense, with several studs peppered in (awful pun).

    When you see Carolina shut out NYG in the playoffs, or shut out STL, or dominate a full game, it's due to the fact that they overachieved. When they have an average game, it's due to the fact that it's a very average unit. When they have a poor game, it's due to the fact that average units sometimes have poor games.

    Great defenses rarely have poor games. We have too many to be considered "great."

    We've been dominant at times. Only a handfull defenses have been "dominant" throughout a season.


    Not sure what's gotten into lharris lately. He'll come on here are start the most obscure, pointless threads, and then leave. It's almost like he's just trying to fuck with our minds.
