Josey Jewell is gone, and he wasn't great to begin with. Now we have Christian Rozeboom and Trevin Wallace as our presumed starters.

Roseboom was a tackling machine for the Rams, but he allowed 80.5% of passes thrown his way to be completed, and surrendered a QB rating of 106.5 when targeted.

Trevin Wallace allowed a QBR of 123.2 and an 87% completion rate.

Last year we couldn't stop the run. Right now it's looking like opposing Tight Ends are going to feast on us.

I heard that Dan Morgan has been quietly working his way back into football shape.

Does make you wonder if he never cleared protocol at the end of the season, whether they were checking on him over the winter. Weird to have him show up and get cut, like we had no idea.

What gets me is they knew he had an issue but let Shaq walk and did next to nothing to shore up the Linebacker room. Given Morgan's own personal history with concussions, I'm surprised that he let it get this far without signing anyone.

Dans issue with concussions went on for a long time before he stopped too.

I think the plan is mask the LB position with pressure from the DL, keeping them from having to stay in coverage too long and opening up clean lanes to stop the run.

Saw Eric Kendricks still unsigned. Dan may be planning to see what's available when teams get to 53

He has some potential, but needs to get more instinctive. He's lucky we've got a thin room, that gives him a shot to make the roster.

It's dogshit on paper, but linebacker is also one of those positions where guys can become good or bad for no rhyme or reason. Seeing if a Rozeboom can be this year's Zach Baun is smarter than signing expensive free agents.
