    To clear things up a bit. Droid X is already out.

    Droid X is the physical phone. Right now it is running software version 2.1 (Eclair). Soon, most android phones will be upgraded to 2.2 (Froyo). Froyo isn't a different phone, just an updated version of the OS. That is one of the strong points to Android. Its constantly evolving. They're already planning an update 3.0 (gingerbread) which should be coming out next year.

    well, it didn't come in - I call verizon and they tell me it's been on back order and won't be in 'til the 28th :fire:

    Ouch. Usually those dates are "by the 28th."

    I went by the Verizon store a few days ago to look at the model and they said they've only had 5 in the store since it was released and haven't been able to get anymore. I know the incredible was delayed because of Samsung. They were producing the screens for the incredible and Evo and weren't able to meet production. Not sure what is up with the Droid X.

    I ordered the Droid X online on 8/1. The site said it would ship by 8/18. I had it on 8/5. :butt:
