What would this accomplish?

When asked about concussions, Goodell mentioned that the league will look at banning the 3-point stance. Yes, so everyone on the field will have to stand up....even the nose-tackle (the center being the only exception since he must hike the ball somehow), so that the collisions at the line of scrimmage will not be as violent. You have already taken away the beans...why not chop off the frank?

 

I don't remember that there was much of a problem with linemen getting concussions at the LOS. Seems to me a lot of em are with QBs running/sacked, RBs/linebackers beyon the LOS, etc.

 

It's not that they get knocked out working the LOS, but the repetitive blows to the head (even small ones) have a cumulative effect there was a New York Times article about it someone posted it here. lemme try to find it.
