Buck reamed us after the home loss to Atlanta, saying after the game all he saw were Vick jerseys, and a few other things. Pissed me the hell off.

He was probably right about the Vick jerseys. I have seen lots of them in our stadium before and it does suck. I got off Buckner's bandwagon after the hazing incident. I still think if they had focused on getting themselves better rather than hazing rookies and playing Madden we might have started better than 1-7 and made the playoffs easily.

There were Atlanta fans in attendance as there always is. Most of them wore Vick. In the corner ticketmaster sections I saw perhaps a max of 20 or so. Less then that in the other sections. There may have been 1500 Falcon fans in attendance. Probably 1/4 the number of Carolina fans that show up to the Georgia dome. It was not a sea of red and black and Buckner really just shoved a foot in his mouth with the comment...

I would like him back mearly for leadership, but I think he sees what Moorehead is doing and might feel the urge to retire rather than be beat out of his starting slot...that and he is getting up there in age.
Replacement should be a decent 3-5 year vet, maybe someone versatile enough to play DE also.
ANd he should be able to long snap!
