Would you use a 1st or a 1st day pick on a DT?

no you scout potential in the 4-6th rounds. We've got Jenkins and Moorehead as probable starters. Maybe pick up a cheap priced vet.

Negligible cap savings. $1.6 mil salary, bonuses of $1.575 million (2003) and $750k (2004) make his bonus cap hit ~.49 mil, of which two more years would have to accrue upon cutting.

Honestly, if Buckner goes, we're best served with a veteran player, a rookie doesn't help us out as much at that point.

If Buckner retires, he'll probably say it because we have shitty fans, and that it was our fault we lost against the Falcons.

I hope never, he's been a 90 percent bust. But, perhaps playing next to Pep would help him.
