That's fine, but I'm always willing to question the staff, just as long as I think it's warrented.

And I think you're making more of a guess than an observation.

The problem isn't a lack of passion in the locker room, it's the general public's obsession with passion. How do ordinary fans not know that running around like a jackass has no bearing on your ability to perform? Peppers has always been quiet, even early last season when he seemed like the most dominating defensive player in the league. Fox has never been a rah-rah guy, even when he got his team to the Super Bowl. Demonstrative passion is completely irrelevant.

I get that passion is easy for fans to see, and that they like it for the same reason that they like wrestlers who ham it up for the crowd, but I, perhaps naively, keep hoping that eventually they're realize that entertainment value and performance are two different things. Losing to Houston had absolutely zero to do with passion or a lack thereof, and everything to do with faulty roster construction, player weaknesses, and a lack of execution.

I wish the Panthers defense were as fired up as the Ravens defense always is but I guess thats just not the teams makeup. I don't like the Ravens but I do admire the passion they play with...

I thought the D was fired up at first, I remember T Davis getting real excited when Beason made a play early on. After the roof fell in I paid more attention to FF.

I do know that if I was on that D I wouldn't be real excited about having to play with scrub safeties.

For one week, I wish we could assemble a team full of pro wrestlers and put them on the same field as the New England Patiots. Maybe that would prove how little that shit matters.

Ok, now convince us why intensity doesn't matter either.

Don't disagree with what your saying, but I remember a picture from that playoff run of Del Rio celebrating with the defense after a big play, and how alot of people here thought that was something we would be lacking once Del Rio left for greener pastures. also, I should point out now that I'm not suggesting you were one of those people.

I think, in general some people (fans and media) are just tired of "It is what it is" and "day-to-day"
