Oakland at New England -- NE -- I think New England's in for an up-and-down, mediocre year. But the Raiders have a long way to go before they can run with the big dogs.

Chicago at Washington -- WAS -- Talk about two storied franchises that have fallen from grace... Did Chicago do anything this offseason to improve their team besides signing Moose and drafting Benson?

Cincinnati at Cleveland -- CIN -- Romeo won't rebuild Cleveland in a day.

Denver at Miami -- DEN -- Same goes for Saban in Miami.

Houston at Buffalo -- HOU -- From everything I've heard so far, J.P. is in for a rough year.

New Orleans at Carolina -- CAR -- The Saints could rally and win one for the homefront, but I doubt it. Heart hasn't been the Saints' strong point since Fields, Mills, and Delhomme left.

N.Y. Jets at Kansas City -- NYJ -- KC's storebought defense will have trouble with the Jets' potent O.

Seattle at Jacksonville -- JAX -- The Jags played very tough last year, and Seattle hasn't shown any improvement yet.

Tampa Bay at Minnesota -- MIN -- This one could be over by halftime.

Tennessee at Pittsburgh -- PIT -- Big Ben and the Blitzburgh D are going to have to win this one, but they should be able to pull one off at home against the rebuilding Titans.

Arizona at N.Y. Giants -- NYG -- This one could go either way, but from the little I've seen of the Cards this preseason, they're not running on all cylinders yet.

Dallas at San Diego -- SD -- The Bolts seem to be picking up where they left off last season, and that's bad news for a re-vamped Dallas D.

Green Bay at Detroit -- DET -- Turmoil in Titletown and the turf curse for Favre & Co., plus all three Lions blue chip WRs are healthy (for now).

St. Louis at San Francisco -- STL -- Gonna be a long year for Niner fans.

Indianapolis at Baltimore -- IND -- Make or break year for Boller. I'm betting on 'break'.

Philadelphia at Atlanta -- PHI -- Can't really stand either team, but Philly has the blueprint down to beat Vick. The question is, can they still do it without Burgess shadowing "his royal highness"?

    Oakland at New England

Pats are still good. Brady is still great. Oakland's D still looks soft. Collins is always good for a TO.

But it's week one, things will be sloppy and I like Jordan in that O, and suspect the Pat Run D.

    Chicago at Washington

Clunker of the week. Two awful offensive teams. I don't like Sny, I mean Gibbs offseason moves. The oompa-loompa recieving corps. Chicago has a good defense, if they could score some points...

But the Skins are at home, and Orton's still a rook who threw picks like no tommorrow in college.

    Cincinnati at Cleveland

Palmer gets a patsy to get his head right. He's looked sloppy in preseason.

    Denver at Miami

Upset. Yeah, Miami QB's will have them wishing for the glory days of Fiedler. But karma. Just karma. Bad ju-ju around Denver this year. I feel it.

    Houston at Buffalo

Losman. Bad name for a QB.

    New Orleans at Carolina

A little worried about their DEs vs our OTs, but I think we can run on em and win.

    N.Y. Jets at Kansas City

KC is my AFCW pick this year.

    Seattle at Jacksonville

Offenses haven't gotten into a groove yet. ADV JAX.

    Tampa Bay at Minnesota

Culpepper looks good so far this year without Moss, and Tampa still looks like crap to me on O when I caught them in preseason. They still have protection problems, hell, when have they not?

    Tennessee at Pittsburgh

    Pitt should just overpower them.

    Arizona at N.Y. Giants

Their's some good stuff brewing in Zona.

    Dallas at San Diego

Close game me thinks, but going with the home team

    Green Bay at Detroit

    The clock is ticking Joey....

    St. Louis at San Francisco

    Shalacking.

    Indianapolis at Baltimore

    Boller doens't seem to progress.

    Philadelphia at Atlanta

"I lub Donovan" Hope they implode later. Kill the dirty birds

Oakland at New England - This game will be MUCH closer than many would think. The Pats have a number of changes to adjust to and I think they will slip early this year...the Raiders should be a much improved team from last year. This is a possible opening day upset, but I gotta go with the Pats at home.

Chicago at Washington - It comes down to who is worse...the Skins are. Expect the Bears to use the running game alot as they bring Orton along slowly.

Cincinnati at Cleveland - The Bungles are poised to have a breakout year...Cleveland on the other hand, well...isn't!

Denver at Miami - Another lackluster matchup that could go either way.

Houston at Buffalo - The Texans are another team that could breakout this year, the Bills are another year away as Losman takes his lumps.

New Orleans at Carolina - This will be a tough game, lots of emotion fueling the Saints. But that same emotion will be thier downfall.

N.Y. Jets at Kansas City - Another push, KC at home is always a good bet.

Seattle at Jacksonville - The Jags will run away with this one, call it a feeling.

Tampa Bay at Minnesota - The Vikes will score enough points to beat the Bucs twice, as if they were still divisional foes.

Tennessee at Pittsburgh - Tennessee is in another rebuilding year...for probably at least this season and the next. No soph slump expected from Big Ben.

Arizona at N.Y. Giants - Arizona improved more than the Giants in the off season.

Dallas at San Diego - Shhh, don't tell anybody, but the Chargers are playing in Detroit in Feb.

Green Bay at Detroit - Detroit will not be playing in Detroit in Feb, but I suspect they will play well enough to win at home this weekend.

St. Louis at San Francisco - Alex Smith's debut will be a rough one. Rams win big.

Indianapolis at Baltimore - Baltimore generally keeps the Indy O in check, if you call under 30 points in check. The Ravens look like a team that can make the leap to the next level.

Philadelphia at Atlanta - The Vicks are going down hard. Mikey is going to get his Ronnie Mexico knock in the dirt. Expect another piss poor passing performance from Vick, while McNabb efficiently leads the Eagles as per usual.
